| Francis Gerald Johnson, 85, of Richwood died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, at
Community Nursing Center in Marion after a serious illness of five months. He was a retired farmer and mechanic and was a member of the Pharisbiirg United Methodist Church and the Union County Farm Bureau. He was born May 31,1910, in Union County to the late John F. and Lydia Herd Johnson. He married Letha M. Ewing July 6,1930, and she died Jan. 28, 1994. He was also predeceased by a sister and a brother. He is survived by a son, Donald F. Johnson of East Liberty; three daughters, Carol Ann (John) Butcher and Janet E. Ballinger of Richwood and Jeanine K. Diller of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and interment will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. | |||
