LeRoy D. "Spud" Weaver
LeRoy D. "Spud" Weaver, 84 of Harlingen, TX, died Thursday,
Nov. 21, 1996 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. The former Magnetic
Springs area resident was a retired truck driver.
He was born March 17, 1912 in Marion, the son of Frank and
Susie Burkhart Weaver. He married the former L. Marie
Schwaderer May 28, 1933, who preceded him in death March 28,
1977.
The World War II Army veteran was a member of the Rio Grand
Retired Teamsters Truck Drivers Club, Mansfield Retired
Teamsters, Marysville Post 179, American Legion, and Pharisburg
United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Ballinger
Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Nichols officiating. Interment
was at Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pharisburg United
Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
