John Franklin Isler


John Franklin Isler, 78 of Prospect, died May 3, 1996.  He was born January 18, 1918 in Prospect to the late Milton S. and Amy L. (Roberts) Isler.
He was a farmer his entire life.  He was active in several organizations, which are omitted here because an original obituary cannot be found.
On Feb. 14, 1939 he married the former Dorothy Laucher.

He is survived by four sons, don (Cathy) Isler, Prospect; Gene (Karen) Isler, Delaware; William (Kathy) Isler, Prospect; Richard (Linda) Isler, Westerville; two daughters, mary Ann Stoner, Prospect; marilyn (Mark) McCabe, Prospect; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Robert Isler, Prospect; a sister, Geneva Dobberstein, Prospect.  Preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 6, 1996 at 11:00 AM in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Prospect with Rev. Monty kaufman officiating.  Burial wa in Prospect Cemetery.  Friends called at Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home On May 5 from 3 to 6 PM.
