Josephine Shorter, 80 of near
Prospect, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995 at MedCenter Hospital in Marion following a brief illness. The member of Steubenville Lutheran Church was a member of Waldo's Pythian Sisters. A native of Darbyville, she was born June 15, 1914, a daughter of the late Henry and Nellie B. Metzger Long. December 24,1934 she married Garland Shorter, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters: Lorie Anderson of Richwood, Ksthryn Whiteman and Roberta Fitzpatrick, both of Marion, and Barbara Cams of Manassas, Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; two brothers: Jay and Ralph, both of Florida; and a sister Martha Wilson of Marblehead. Two sons and a great-grandson preceded her in death. Private funeral services were conducted by Dan Anderson and David Cams. Burial was at Otterbein Cemetery. Ballinger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. | |||
