George Richard Evans

George Richard Evans, 86,
died Sunday, March 26, 1995 at
Memorial Hospital of Union
County. The retired farmer and
carpenter was a member of
Richwood Civic Center and the
former Jackson Grange. He had
been seriously ill six months.
The Union County native was
born June 20, 1908, a son of
Barnett G. and Norah Smart
Evans. He married the former
Daisy B. Robertson November
1, 1930. She preceded him in
death October 25, 1975.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Olive Riley Shupe,
whom he married October 14,
1976; a son Robert 0. of near
Richwood; two grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; a
brother Earnest B. of Tucson,
AZ: and a step-sister Lucille
McAllister of Corpus Christy,
TX. Three brothers are
deceased.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, March 29 at Ballinger
Funeral Home with Rev.
George Freer officiating. Burial
was at Price Cemetery.
