Leonard James Webb. Sr., 73,
died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995 at his Betty Lane residence. He had been in failing health for three years. The retired Supervisor at Eljer Plumbingware in Marysville was a member of the First Baptist Church, Richwood Golf League and Western Ohio Chapter of the ALS Association. The son of the late Austin and Vadie Holbrook Webb was born in Lawrence County. Kentucky September 7. 1922. He married the former Ruth Shields Ransome November 20, 1970. Surviving are his wife, two sons Len Jr. and Robert, both of Marion; two stepdaughters Pat Beatley of Richwood and Linda Parsons of Marion; a stipson Charles Ransome of Delaware; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters Dorothy Webb of near Richwood and Betty Scheiderer of Columbus and a brother John of Richwood. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Betty Jane Rush, whom he married in 1959. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Alan J. Wright and Rev. Sherwood Anderson officiating. Interment was at Claibourne Cemetery. Bailinger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may he made to the Western Ohio Chapter of the ALS (Lou (Gehrig's Disease) Association. | |||
