Mae Belle Rouse Bird

Former Prospect resident
Mae B. Rouse Bird, 99, died
Thursday, April 14, 1994 at Marion
Manor. Born Oct. 13, 1895, she
was the daughter of Grant and
Laura Huff Waters, who are
deceased.
She was a retired licensed
practical nurse at Grady
Memorial Hospital, Delaware,
and a member of Prospect
Senior Citizens.
On Sept. 20, 1913 she
married Cary Rouse, who died
in 1949. In Dec. 14, 1958 she
was married to Jerome Bird,
who died Nov. 17, 1981.
Surviving are a son, Melvin
Rouse of Cardington; a stepdaughter,
Virginia Kenney of
Delaware; five grandchildren,
six great-grandchildren, one
great-great-grandchild; three
step-grandchildren and five
step-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two
sons and one brother.
Funeral services were held
Monday, April 18 at Gehm-Ballinger-
Peppard Funeral Home.
Prospect, with Rev. Jeffrey D.
Jewell officiating. Interment
was in Prospect Cemetery.
