Dorothy Mae Lauer


Prospect resident, Dorothy
Mae Lauer, age 82, died at
home Thursday, April 21, 1994. She
had been in failing health for
one year.
Born Oct. 25, 1911. she was
the daughter of the late Jay and
Emma Miley Stiffler. In Oct.
1935, she married James F.
Lauer who preceded her in
death Nov. 30, 1989.
Surviving are two sons,
Stephen F. of Bexley and David
P. of Dublin. Also surviving are
five grandchildren; a brother,
Ernest Stiffler of Prospect.
A brother is deceased.
She was a member of the St.
Paul's Lutheran Church, Order
of the Eastern Star, Katherine
Lutheran Circle, Prospect Senior
Citizens, Senior Charter
Members of OCCL, Searchlight
Literary Club and Capital
University, Mother's Club.
Kuneral services were held
Saturday, April 23 at St. Paul's
Lutheran Church with Rev.
Monty Kaufman officiating.
Burial was at Prospect Cemetery.
Gehm-Ballinger-Peppard
Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Memorial contributions may
be made to the St. Paul's
Lutheran Church Memorial
Fund or to Hospice at Marion
General Hospital.
