Wavie Ellen Wood

Wavie Ellen Wood, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1993, at Marion General Hospital
after a serious illness of one week.
A homemaker, she attended Zion United Church of Christ in Prospect and
was a member of Prospect American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born Sept. 8,1924, at Grimm's Landing, W. V., to the late Ira and
Myrtle McCall Craig. She married Paul R. Wood on April 30,1953, in Prospect
and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1991.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Elesa) Thompson of Marysville
and Mrs. Mike (Gloria) Hempy of Prospect; four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;
and two brothers, Robert Craig of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and
Chancey Craig of LaRue.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gehm-Ballinger-
Peppard Funeral Home in Prospect The Rev. Robert Airhart will officiate and
interment will be at Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
