Gertrude Emma Davis

Gertrude Emma Davis, 76, of Richwood died Sunday, Feb. 28,1993, at Memorial
Hospital of Union County after a short illness.
She retired in from the Richwood Post Office in 1977. She was a member of
the Richwood First United Methodist Church.
She was born in New Knoxville on May 2,1916, to the late Fred and Emma
Schroer Schmedt. She married Earl K. Davis on Jan. 19.1946, and he preceded
her in death on Dec. 29,1976. She was also predeceased by three sisters and a
brother.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James (Diane) Lindler of Westerville and
one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Ballinger-
Peppard Funeral Home in Richwood with the Rev. Wilbur R. Boyer officiating.
Interment will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2
to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation of Central
Ohio.
