William Arthur Wright

William Arthur Wright, 77, of Richwood died at home Wednesday, March
24, 1993, after having been in failing health for two years.
He was a retired employee of the Marion Power Shovel Company and was a
member of Union Baptist Church in West Jackson.
He was bora March 8,1916, in Silver Hill, Ky., to the late Samuel G. and Lucille
Alace McKenzie Wright He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
He married Patricia Lang on Jan. 23,1954, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Lucy Fox and Linda Fischer, both of Richwood;
two sons, Samuel Wright of Richwood and James Wright of California; a
stepson, Joseph Williams of Marion; 11 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren;
and a sister, Mrs. Jane Hawkins of Meadow View, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ballinger-Peppard
Funeral Home in Richwood with the Rev. Paul White officiating. Interment will
be at Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice at Marion General
Hospital.
