Shirley Jean (Davis) Criswell, 74, of Prospect passed away early Saturday morning, November 25, 2006 at the home of her son in Delaware. She was born Feb 25, 1932 in Richwood to the late Dever and Marian (Haughn) Davis.
On Nov 12, 1972 she married John Criswell, who died in 1991. She was an excellent cook and was loved by many and will be sadly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Terry Lee (Elise) Simpkins, Indiana; Dannie Lynn (Lisa) Simpkins, Delaware, Ohio, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son James Lester Simpkins; brothers Raymond, Richard and Billy; sisters Donna, Marilyn and Louise and granddaughter Michele Lynn Simpkins. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect with Rev. Joseph Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware, OH 43015.
