Mary Jane Griffith, 67, of Richwood died Saturday morning, December 30, 2006 at Marion General Hospital. She was born Oct 27, 1939 in Marysville, OH to the late Sam Easterday and Helen (Speakman) Easterday.
She was a harness racing fan and loved making crafts. On March 31, 1962 she married Ronald K. “Dick” Griffith, who died June 5, 1994. She is survived by her mother, Helen Easterday, Marion; daughter Bonnie (Gary) Mills, Richwood; son Eddy Bibler, Mt. Victory; step-daughter Rona (Roy) Penix, Richwood; step-son Gary (Sharon) Griffith, California; grandchildren, Dolan Mills, Richwood; Star (Charlie) Ross, Richwood; Bobbie (Gary) Adkins, Raymond; Ronald Mills, Richwood; Jason (Tara) Mills, Richwood; Jeremy (Loretta) Mills, Marion; step-granddaughter, Renetta (Bud) Barnhart, Richwood; 2 sisters, Letha Gibson, Marion; Adella Easterday, Marysville; brother Sam (Nina) Easterday, Marion; 19 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Easterday, her husband Ronald K. Griffith, 2 grandsons and 1 great-grandson. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
