Reva R. Temple, 81, of Richwood died Friday, August 24, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. She was born July 4, 1926 in West Mansfield to the late Reed and Olive (Bargdel) Drake.
She was a long-time member of the Union Baptist Church where she had once played piano for many years, and she was a member the Richwood Civic Center. It was her passion to send Christian tracks to those who she felt would benefit from learning about Christianity. She was proud of her porcelain doll and teddy bear collections. On Dec. 24, 1950 she married Joe H. Temple. He died Aug. 13, 1997. She is survived by sons, Ralph (Brenda) Temple, Richwood; Roger Temple, Marion; daughter, Mary (Gregg) Darling, Marion; foster son Allen (Kathy) Rausch, Richwood; 4 grandchildren; 3 foster grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and many friends, including one special friend, Jimmi Stainbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother and sister. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 30 at 11:00 A.M. in the Union Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Peria officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Wednesday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, 201 S. Franklin St, Richwood.
