Arthur Charles Mautz
Arthur Charles Mautz, 90, of York Center, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Marion. He was born January 29, 1917 in Marion County to the late Lawrence and Flora (Denzer) Mautz.
He was a farmer until 1966 and after that was a guard for 23 years, working for various institutions.
On November 9, 1963 he married the former Ruth Beery and she survives in York Center.
He is also survived by 2 step-sons, Carl (Chris) Gillespie, Columbus; Jerry (Kristen) Faine, Richwood; 4 grandchildren, Jesse, Josh, Jeremy, Kayleen; and 1 sister, Naomi Duprey, Marion. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Donald Mautz and 1 sister, Martha Shipman.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastors Ron Benedict and John Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.
