Mary Margaret Collins
Mary Margaret Collins, 84 of Richwood died Sunday morning, February 17, 2008 at Marion General Hospital. She was born to Levi and Cecil Verl (Stayner) Price on April 6, 1923 in Richwood, just around the corner from the First United Methodist Church on Fulton Street.
On February 14, 1943 she married Amil L. Collins and he died June 11, 2004. Sadly no children were born to them, but they were blessed with loving brothers and sisters and caring nieces and nephews who went the extra mile to be there for them. Mary has always lived in Richwood, and has always been a member of the Richwood First UMC. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Parrott Implement for 19 years. She was also a member of the Richwood Civic Center. She believed she had the World’s Greatest Mother growing up, as well as a good dad and loving sister.
She is survived by a sister, Dorothy V. Gardner, Ft. Myers, Florida; and several nieces and nephews including Gary and Nancy Collins of Richwood.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or calling hours observed. A private family memorial will take place in Claibourne Cemetery at a later date.
