Douglas Schmidt

Douglas E. Schmidt, age 53, formerly of LaRue, died Thursday May 22, 2008 at 11:50 AM at his home in Lauderdale, Mississippi.  

He was born November 23, 1954 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Ivalou (Gamble) Schmidt.  On June 29, 1974 he married Cassy Forry and she survives.

Also surviving is one son Chad (Christy) Schmidt of Westerville and his son Griffin Schmidt.  One brother; Danny Schmidt of Michigan.

Mr. Schmidt was a receiving supervisor at Van Zyverden Inc. a Flower Bulb Company.  Graduated from Elgin High School in 1973. Former Employee of Purex in Marion.

There will be no funeral services but the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Tuesday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.

Those who wish may make contributions to the Community Hospice of America in Meridian, Mississippi.
