Michael Patrick Anderson
Michael Patrick Anderson, age 74 of Prospect died peacefully early Wednesday morning February 18, 2009 at his home. He was born October 24, 1934 in Marion to the late Neal and Kathryn (Herlihy) Anderson; he was also predeceased by his wife Flora Mae (Reaper) Anderson and brother Walter Anderson.
He worked for 30 years at Pollack and Armco Steel. Michael was an avid hunter and sportsman, and a loyal Notre Dame fan. Mike was a member of the American Legion in Prospect. A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, he was a 1943 graduate of Marion St. Mary’s High School where he was a talented athlete, playing basketball and football. He also played baseball for the American Legion.
He is survived by Children: Michael P. (Judith) Anderson, Edison (Penny) Roberts, Barbara (Dale) Carr, Mark Vaughan, Lisa Reed, Kate (Mike) Shaffer, Beth (Michael) Lehman and Rhonda (William) Sampson
12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren

A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Burial of his cremains in Ireland will follow.
