Paul Joe Craft


Paul Joe Craft, age 67 of Marion, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Marion General Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born October 23, 1941 in Siloam, Kentucky to the late David Edgar and Leona (Conkel) Craft.

He is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Bobbi) Craft, Richwood; Barry Johnston, Marion;  Joey Johnston, Marion;  four daughters, Melody Craft, Marion; Tammy (Tom) Carrol, Peculiar, MO; Ida Murphy, Marion; Lisa (Jeff) Hale, Marion; 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dan Craft, Oklahoma City, OK; Harold Craft, Wurtland Ky and a sister, Sandy (Danny) May, Greenup, KY, and his former second wife, Sharon Johnston Craft.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Den Craft, a sister Joann Kennedy and his former first wife, Alice Faye Chaney.

He had been employed by Marion Power Shovel.  Paul adored his grandchildren and great-children.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, fishing and gardening.  He was a fan of westerns, especially John Wayne.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.  There will be no formal services.  Private family interment will take place in York Cemetery at a later date.
