Herman H. Berry
Herman H. Berry, age 83, of LaRue, Ohio died Thursday May 21, 2009 at 11:50 AM at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was born December 26, 1925 in Kentucky to the late John Everett and Elizabeth (Chapman) Berry. On November 28, 1945 he married Margaret Louise Clay and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Loretta Dawson of Marion, Linda (Don) Gossett of Clarksville, Ohio, and Luana (John) Mathew of LaRue. Grandchildren; Cassandra (Chris) Myers of Marion, Patrick (Nicole) Dawson of Marion, Chandra (David) DeCan of West Manchester, Ohio, Amy (Scott) Penman of Columbia MO, Heather(Brandon) Bello Houston, TX, Sara Kolax of Springfield, MO, and Scott Gossett of Waco, TX. Great Grandchildren; Bailey Myers, Ashley Phillabaum, Emma Sue DeCan, Brandon DeCan, Aubrey Bello, Blaine Bello, Carson Kolax, and Evangeline Penman. He was preceded in death by Grandson Christopher Foster, Brothers; Kenneth, Carl and William, sister; Leona Lowman, step brother James Johnson and step sister Mary Purdin.
Mr. Berry was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corp. he worked at National Cash Register as a collator operator, then taught Masonry at MCI and Tri-Rivers. Member of the Weak Enders Campers Club. He loved fishing, getting the family together for cook outs. He had an exceptional sense of humor, lived life to the fullest and was a devoted husband and father.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be Rev. Debra Berry. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday.
