Donald J. Price age 74 of Prospect, died Thursday August 13, 2009 in Prospect following a long illness
He was born May 7, 1935 in Sidney, Ohio to the Late LeRoy Jackson and Pearl Viola (Shores) Price; he was also predeceased by brothers and sisters: Charles, Darrill and Robert Price, Yvonne Morris, Marguerite Cotterman, Ruth Moses and Helen Price
Don was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army, he was then retired after many yrs. of service at DELO Screw as a Machinist, he was an inventor, enjoyed woodworking and treasure hunting. In years past he was a volunteer fireman in Ostrander and was active in the village of Prospect.
Surviving are his 3 children: Myra (Mark) Glandon of Prospect, Heather (Jeff) Ferrell of Prospect and Don (Susan) Price of Bedford, Mass.
His former wife and mother of their Children: June Price of Prospect
Grandchildren: Krystal and Justin Price, Logan, Abbey and Luke Ferrell, Angie Stevens, Kimberly (Sherman Pierce) Stevens and Rachel (Joe) Albanese
Great Grandchildren: Zane, Cody and Kaylee
Sister: Dorothy (Eddie) Mumaw of Piqua
Faithful Companion: Brandy
Funeral services will be held Monday August 17, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect, where friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm, Pastor Steve Whitaker will officiate, burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery, where there will be Veteran Graveside Services conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council
