Walter Lee Harris, 99 of Ridge Manor, passed away February 11, 2009. He was born November 5, 1909 in Richwood, OH to Jesse & Tillie Viola McAllister Harris and moved to Ridge Manor 25 years ago from Clermont, FL. He was a retired School Superintendent in Wellington, OH and the Assistant Superintendent in Bay Village, OH. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, an Ohio State Alumni, and the Kiwanis Club.
Thelma Josephine Watkins Harris, 97, of Dade City, FL, passed away September 18, 2009. She was born April 17, 1912 to Elmer and Edna Watkins of Richwood, OH and moved to Dade City, from Ridge Manor 3 years ago. She graduated from Ohio Northern University and was a retired elementary school teacher in Wellington, OH and Bay Village, OH. They are survived by their son: Michael Dean Harris (Susan), Barrington, IL, one daughter-in-law: Paula Harris, Seneca, SC; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. They were preceded in death by a son: Roger Lee Harris. A graveside service will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Claibourne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in their memory to Gulfside Regional Hospice, 37826 Sky Ridge Circle, Dade City, FL 33525 or a charity of the donor's choice.
