Glen H. Skinner


Glen H. Skinner, age 82 of Prospect, died Thursday afternoon, November 12, 2009 at the Morning View Pointe Nursing Home in Marion.  He was born June 2, 1927 in Delaware County to the late William G. and Florence Joyce (Laughlin) Skinner.

Glen was a truck driver who had served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.  In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two sisters, Opal Griffith, Troy; Wilma June (Robert) Thomas, Erie, Colorado; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect where friends may call 2 hours prior to the service.  Pastor Joe Rhea will officiate and burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council.

Memorial gifts may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
