William Omer King


William Omer King age 87 of Richwood, died Thursday Morning December 10. 2009 at the Lima Memorial Hospital

He was born July 14, 1922 in Ostrander to the late Arthur and ImoJean (Wolford) King; he was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters

Omer was a retired carpenter/Millwork with the Steward Construction Company in Marion for 28 yrs., he was also an active member of the Community United Calvary Church where he had served as a deacon, he was also very active and had helped start the former Union County Civil Defense (Now EMA), he was also a scout master for many yrs.

On June 6, 1942 in Greenup, Ky. He married Clara Ella (Jerew) and she died June 3, 2005
Surviving are 2 sons: Larry King of Columbus and Ronald (Teresa) King of Lakeview and 1 daughter: Sharon (Timothy) Landon of Lakeview
5 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
2 brothers: Clyde (Betty) King of Lewisville, Melvin King of Columbus, 1 sister: Irma Jean Fancey of Marysville

Funeral Services will be held Monday December 14, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, where friends may call Sunday from 5-7 pm, Dean Henderson will officiate, burial will be in the Price Cemetery
