Shirley I. James


Shirley I. James, of LaRue, died Friday July 9, 2010 at 11:55 AM at her home.
She was born December 6, 1934 in Essex, Ohio Union County to the late Sterling C. and Alice Lucille (Hoffman) Wittibslager.  On May 18, 1956 she married Ronald E. James and he survives.

Also surviving are daughters; Rhonda L. (Adam) Irey of LaRue, Jeanna K. (Bryan) Gallien of Columbus and son; Michael R. James of  New Bloomington. Grandchildren; Kara (Brad) Lust, Ryan J Ratliff, Brandon James, Jaqy Denison, Kylee James, Brayden Denison, Reed Irey, and Taylor Irey. Great Grandchild Nash Lust. Sister; Donna (Bill) Persinger of LaRue.  Sister-in-law Betty Wittibslager of LaRue. Preceded in death by brother Gene Wittibslager.

Shirley was a homemaker, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church where she served on many committees over the years. Member of the Happy Tyme Club. Her life really centered around her family.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday July 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the LaRue United Methodist Church. Minister will be the Rev. Edward W. Fugate. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday.
