Dixie Jo Ledley
Dixie Jo Ledley, age 64 of East Moline, Illinois died Wednesday evening, June 22, 2011 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. She was born February 11, 1947 in Marion to the late Everett Joseph and Cloyce Lucille (Stout) Ledley.
She worked as a Product Support Representative for John Deere. She was a member of St. John Vianny Catholic Church in Bettendorf, Iowa and a member of the Young Republicans. Dixie was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. She carried her Buckeye spirit with her wherever she was, and made it clear to everyone who knew her, including her friends from other states, who the number one university was. Dixie was also a volunteer who helped patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
She is survived by a half-sister, Bonnie (Paul) Obenour, Marion; a brother, Gary (Lynne) Ledley, Richwood; four nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Matthew Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
