Leona Mae Daniels Harraman Zachariah
Leona Mae Daniels Harraman Zachariah, age 92 of Richwood died Thursday morning, February 23, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 15, 1919 in Marion to the late Thomas and Nellie (Stallings) Daniels.
She was previously married to Ray Harraman. She then married Dick Zachariah in 1975 and he died in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Brown; two brothers, Robert Daniels and Thomas Daniels; two sisters, Mildred Evans and Virginia Rainsburg; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Richwood VFW Post 870. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She loved to take care of her family, especially babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, John (Laura) Harraman, Norfork, Arkansas; two daughters, Rayda (Fred) Reese, Richwood; Teresa (Robert Hawke) Zachariah, Richwood; sister, Mary Roshon, LaRue; eleven grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood, where friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 4 PM. Pastor Joe Rhea will officiate.
