Patricia A. Hoodlet


Patricia A. Hoodlet, age 82 of Richwood, died early Friday morning, November 2, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital of Union County.  She was born October 12, 1930 in Columbus to the late Ira and Florence Mae (O’Harra) Thomas.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Richwood.  She had worked as a secretary at COBA (later known as Select Sires), and had also worked at National City Bank in downtown Columbus.  A people person, Pat loved taking care of her family and others.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and was best known for her baking and cooking skills.  She ran Pat’s Home Bakery on Hoskins road for over ten years.  Many people relied on Pat to make their family and social gatherings taste as good as they could.

Surviving are three daughters, Karen D. Muenks, St. Louis, Missouri; Patricia D. (Doug) Wilson, Richwood; Colleen D. (George) Lindsey, Affton, Missouri; two step-sons, Robert D. (Linda) Peterson, Lake Stevens, Washington; Michael D. (Karen) Peterson, Grove City; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald L. Thomas, London; William (Ann) Thomas Sr., Bellefontaine; sister-in-law, Lynnetta Thomas, Marysville; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Diane Ann Peterson and a sister, Lillian May Rice.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday.
