Frank G. Kibler


Frank G. Kibler, 71, of Prospect died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus due to complications from injuries sustained in a semi truck accident.  He was born June 13, 1942 in Bucyrus to the late George Aron and Icea Reynolds (Rosen) Kibler.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Rosen and a sister, Cecilia Hacker Ash.

On November 9, 1968 he married the former Mary Ellis in Columbus, and she survives in Prospect.

He loved driving truck, having driven since he was sixteen.  In 2003 he received an award for driving 2,000,000 miles without an accident.  He had traveled many more since then.  Frank enjoyed fishing, working outside, and working with his animals at the farm.  He loved watching John Wayne movies and NCIS.  He especially loved being with his family and going to his grandson’s ball games.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert (Tracy Cunningham) Ellis, Marion; Scott Kibler, Prospect; a daughter, Shannah (Brody) Hamilton, Mt. Victory; five grandchildren, Desariee, Bobbie and Anthony Cunningham, all of Marion; Shayla (Chance)  VanBuskirk, Kenton; Gabriel Hamilton, Mt. Victory; three great-grandchildren, Nadia Nyler and Noah Nelson, Marion; and Zavior VanBuskirk, Kenton; a foster grandchild, Haley Mulholand, Delaware; two sisters, Dee (Norwood) Neumann of Big Rapids, Michigan; and Dorothy Thomas, Marion.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood, Pastor Michele Holloway will officiate.  Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans.  Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
