Ruth Juanita (Redd) Leibold


Ruth Juanita (Redd) Leibold, age 82 of Richwood, went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 28, 2013 at 3:00 PM surrounded by her loving family.  She was born July 5, 1931 in Marion County to Harley and Mary Redd, who preceded her in death.

She was married on December 4, 1949 to James C. Leibold, and he preceded her in death in 2005.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Willard Redd, and one sister, Marilyn Wilson.

She was a loving and dedicated, compassionate and generous wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor.  A 1949 graduate of LaRue High School, she worked at North Union School District for 25 years as a bus driver and cook.  Ruth was a member of Fulton Creek Friends Church since 1952, where she assisted in various positions, including teacher and pianist.

She loved to be outside gardening, enjoyed community activities and participating in the Kitchen Band with the Richwood Civic Center.  She was also a talented seamstress.

She is survived by her six children, Stephen R. (Debbie) Leibold, Richwood; Sandra Jo (Paul) Cook, Adrian, Michigan; Carol Lynn (Keith) Sarbaugh, Zanesville; Joyce Eileen (Patrick) Kibler, Wilmington; Judith Kay (Kenton) Cunningham, Delaware; Jill Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Rainey, Marion; former daughter-in-law, Cindy Leibold, Russells Point; grandchildren, Wesley, Lance, Carmen, Christie, Michelle, B. J., Becky, Ruthie, Joseph, Daniel, Elizabeth, David, Nathaniel, Andrea and Armando (Sumo); and several great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Ray (Carolee) Redd, Lima; Ula Cooper, Indianapolis; Donna Lee, LaRue; Bobby Redd, Lima; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Allen, Canal Winchester; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Fulton Creek Friends Church with Dr. Wayne Evans officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.
