Fred Allen Carr


Fred Allen Carr age 63 of Prospect, died Saturday evening at his home. He was born June 11, 1950 in Marion to William and Mary (Sours) Carr, his mom survives near Richwood.

Fred was a 1968 graduate of the Elgin High School, he worked at the Whirlpool Corp for 42 ½ yrs., had been a member of the former Zion United Church of Christ in Prospect. A big sports fan, he loved rooting for his beloved Elgin Comets, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds.

Fred was very active in the community he loved, he ran the Carp Tournament in Prospect for many years, coached softball in Prospect when his girls were younger, helped with Elgin School activities, and he looked forward to going to the Prospect Legion meetings and very much enjoyed the time he spent with his friends.

Surviving are his daughters: Nicci Sprouse of Columbus and Carrie (Tony) Robbins of Marion, Grandchildren: Hannah Sprouse, Connor and Kale Robbins, sister: Judy Carr of Richwood and brothers: Leroy (Jackie) Carr of Delaware and Gary (Heidi) Carr of Prospect and his former wife and mother of their children: Patty Masters of Marion

Friends may call Tuesday November 26, 2013 from 4-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect, Funeral Services will be held Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 11:00 am  at the Prospect United Methodist Church, Pastor Caroline Christman will officiate, burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
