Loretta “Lori” Evans
Loretta “Lori” Evans, 52 of Columbus died unexpectedly Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home. She was born August 20, 1961 in Marion to the late James Melvin and Iretta (Conley) Penix.
Lori was a loving mother and grandmother. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and loved ones. Both hers and her grandchildren's eyes lit up whenever Grandma Lori was coming over. She worked for the United States Postal Service for over twenty years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends from work with whom she also was close.
She is survived by two daughters, LeAnn (Mike) Swihart, Marysville; Courtney (Jackie DeCapite) Evans, Dublin; two grandchildren, Ava and Landon Swihart; brothers and sisters, Roy (Rona) Penix, Richwood; Gary (Robyn) Penix, Salt Lake City, Utah; Hilda Gilliam, Marion; Pat (Mark) Anderson, Brooksville, FL; Deb (Carey) Hughes, Richwood; Ella Mae Davis, Richwood; Judy Kay (Tim) McElroy, Richwood; and a sister-in-law, Becky Penix, Richwood. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddy Ray Penix.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
