G. Louise “Weezie” Jordan


G. Louise “Weezie” Jordan, 81 of Richwood, died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Marion General Hospital.  She was born October 12, 1932 in Union County to the late Earl and Beckie (Morgan) Piper.

On July 10, 1950 she married Charles Jordan in Richmond, Indiana, and he died September 4, 1994.  She was also preceded in death by brothers, Everett, Robert, Bud and Richard; sisters, Dorothy, Clarabelle, Nellie, Josephine and Ella Mae; and a daughter, Sandra Kay Jordan-McClure.

She was a woman of strong faith, with family at the center of her life.  A homemaker in the truest sense of the word, Weezie enjoyed cooking, taking care of her entire family and keeping a home where everyone felt welcome.   She liked to fish, enjoyed playing euchre, and had a very ornery sense of humor.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Roxanne) Jordan, Richwood; Brenda (Larry) Piper, Wakeman; Patty (Rick) Schultz, Radnor; Jerry (RaeLynn) Jordan, Richwood; Charlie (Theresa) Jordan, Richwood; Kathy Jordan, Richwood; Michael Jordan, Marion; Charles (Deanna) Dixon, Marengo; grandchildren, Chris (Nichole) Piper, Jamie Piper, Amy (Shawn) Pacha, Brooke (Geof) Phipps, Ricki Schultz, Jeremy Jordan, Abby (Dustin) Riffle, Annie (Caleb) Schultz, Christopher (Ashley) Dixon, Ashley Jordan, Corey Dixon, Amber (Shane) Blankenship, Tiffany Jordan, Erin Dixon, Jared (Andrea) Kirby, Summer Kirby, Chance Phipps, Drake Phipps and Lexi Jordan; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie (Wesley) Mannasmith, Katelyn Pacha, Jakob Piper, Lexi Piper, Hayden Pacha, Lacetyn Riffle, Braylen Riffle, Kadrin Riffle, Paxtyn Schultz, Evie Blankenship, Gabriel Blankenship, Caden Dixon, Bentley Dixon, Jace Phipps, Kennedy Jordan, Carmen Jordan, Kale Keigley, Addison Kirby and Jordan Kirby; and a brother, Joe Piper, Urbana.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Scott Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery and her eight surviving children will serve as pallbearers.  Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
