Mary Gilbert
Mary Magdalene Gilbert, age 90, of rural route Kenton, Ohio, died Monday May 26, 2014 at 8:04 PM at her residence. She was born October 11, 1923 in Marion, Ohio to the late John Carl and Carrie (Bolyard) Lyon. In October 1946 she married Dallas Gilbert and he died January 14, 1976.
She is survived by one son; William C. Gilbert Sr. of rural Kenton, Grandchildren; Brenda Gilbert, Bobbie Jo (Rick) Adams, William C. (Denise) Gilbert Jr., Richard. L. Gilbert, Misty D. Baker, Maxine M. (Daniel) Brasher and Angy Williams. 13 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by daughter; Mary Janice Gilbert, brother; Basil Lyon and sisters; LaVon, Virginia and Eileen.
She worked as a housekeeper for Ridgway Hatchery in LaRue, was poll worker in LaRue, worked at the Scioto Ordinance plant, volunteered for Care Line in Marion, was a homemaker and loved her grand kids.
Funeral Services will be held Friday May 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be The Rev. Harry Meade. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
