John R. Mead

John R. Mead, 58 of Richwood died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University following a five-month battle with cancer.  He was born September 4, 1956 in Marysville to Charles B. “Bert” and Phyllis A. (Skidmore) Mead.

John was a talented handy man who was willing and able to fix about anything.  He was a hard worker and ran his own business on the side, Mead Contracting, which many people in the area depended on.  He never knew a stranger and anyone who knew him considered him their friend.  He enjoyed furniture making and in his younger days, fishing, hunting, trap shooting and playing softball.

On April 26, 1997 in Richwood he married the former Pamela S. Wilcox and she survives.  He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Mead, Richwood; two sons, Joshua A.
