Patricia Ann Davids


Patricia Ann Davids 85 of Marion, formerly of Prospect, passed away Saturday March 21, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by her family while holding her loving husband’s hand. Always sweethearts, they were married for 64 years.

She was born December 1, 1929 in Marion to the late Robert and Esther (Long) Blank, she was also predeceased by two brothers: Jim and Richard Blank

Pat was an active member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, had worked at the former Quaker Oats in Marion for over 20 yrs., member of the Marion Artisans Guild, former volunteer with the Marion Mobile Meals and the former Progressive Grange. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping out at the Church and it’s Preschool, dancing, playing the organ and piano and making crafts.

On September 10, 1950 in Prospect, she married Howard W. Davids and he survives, also surviving are their children: Debbie (Sam) McPherson of Marion, Diana (David) Kasmenn of Marion and Phil (Kelly) Davids of Columbus.
Grandchildren; Matt McPherson, Abby Davids, Benjamin (Bridget) Kasmenn and Leah Kasmenn
Sisters: Phyllis Elder of Salem, SC and Mary Lou (John) Witmer of Purcellville, VA
Sister-in-laws: Joann Blank of Marion and Joan Blank of Wilmington, SC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Prospect United Methodist Church, Pastors Carolyn Christman and David Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect.
