David Wayne Boles


David Wayne Boles, 64 of Marion, formerly of LaRue, died Friday evening, October 9, 2015 at the Presidential Center in Marion.  He had been a resident there for 20 years due to his battle with Multiple Sclerosis, which had been diagnosed in 1976.  He was born April 1, 1951 in Kenton to Henry Francis and Norma Joan (LaRue) Boles.

A 1969 graduate of Elgin High School, he had worked at the Whirlpool Corporation, retiring in 1987 after almost 20 years of service.  In high school he was active in sports, baseball being his favorite.  He also played basketball and ran cross country.  Later he enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Joan Boles, LaRue; a daughter, Amanda Kay (Garrett) Moore, Long Island, NY; a grandson, Grady LaRue Moore, Long Island, NY; two brothers, Kenneth Lee (Suzy) Boles, Green Camp; James A. Boles, Wyoming; a sister Dianna (Donny) Johnson, LaRue; and his former wife, Linda Fown Boles, Long Island, NY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, LaRue with Pastor Mike Raypholtz officiating.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home in LaRue.  Burial will take place at a later date in the LaRue Cemetery.
