Andrew Lee "Hank" Felty


Andrew Lee "Hank" Felty, 56 of LaRue died Monday, January 18, 2016 at Grant Medical Center.  He was born February 1, 1959 in Marion to the late Glen M. and Evelyn (Eckard) Felty.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and Brian Felty.

On September 27, 1991 he married the former Becky Bond in Marion and she survives in LaRue.  He is also survived by a daughter, Danielle Cox, Redhouse, West Virginia; a son, Andrew Felty, St. Albans, West Virginia; two grandsons; three step-daughters, Amy (Richard) Holtz, Marion; Rhonda Sandy, LaRue; Tonya Sandy, Marion; six step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathy Jividen, Mt. Victory and a sister-in-law, Valerie Felty, Kenton.

A 1978 graduate of Elgin High School, he served in the National Guard from 1978 to 1982.  He worked as a welder his whole life, last working at Rockwell in Kenton, and before that, Belmar in Marysville.

“Big Hank” as he was known, was a very talented pool player; some might even say a shark.  He played in many tournaments around the area.  He had a friendly personality and everyone who knew him enjoyed his company.

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the LaRue Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Pasma officiating.  Friends may call at the church two hours prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.

Memorial gifts may be made to family to help with final expenses.
