Ronald “Shorty” Allinder


Ronald “Shorty” Allinder, 73 of Prospect went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marion.  He was born April 27, 1942 in Marion to the late Vernon B. and Alice Theodora (Hagans) Allinder, he was also predeceased by one brother: Jackie Allinder, step-son: Tom Wibley and Brother-in-law: Jack Loudermilk.

Ronald attended the Byhalia-York Schools, shortly after he enlisted in the U.S. Army until 1962.

On May 18, 1968 he married Barbara Jean (Huntsman) and she survives, also surviving are two daughters: Lisa (John) Brown, Cardington and Lori (Brad) Williamson, Marion, two sons: James (Bobbie Jo) Allinder, Prospect and Johnny (Heather) Allinder, York Center, stepson: Steve Wibley, Indian Lake, sister: Rhonda Loudermilk, Millersport, many nieces and nephews

Ron was employed at Sunray Stoves (formerly Glenwood Range) in Delaware, retiring in 1996 after 32 yrs. of service.

He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Nascar Racing fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He would never miss a family event. Ron was a fun person to be around

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood, where there will be Veteran services conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans, Pastor Daniel Rebon will officiate.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon at the funeral home in Richwood.
