Robert Lowell Baker


Robert Lowell Baker 53 of rural West Mansfield, died unexpectedly early Friday morning November 11, 2016 at his home.

He was born August 4, 1963 in Kenton to Lowell and Patricia (Fields) Baker, they survive at home. Also surviving is his brother: Alan (Michele) Baker, Dublin, nieces: Allison and Madison Baker

Robert Graduated from North Union in 1981. He was active in FFA and farmed the family farm upon graduation. One of his fondest memories was traveling to the FFA national convention in Kansas City. Robert showed cattle at the Richwood Fair. In his early 20s, Robert was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and battled it his entire life. Despite his illness, Robert continued to assist in caring for his disabled father until his passing.

Robert was a loner with few friends. He had difficulty distinguishing between reality and fiction. He was heavily medicated which made it difficult for him to socialize and maintain relationships.

Robert enjoyed watching Star Trek, drinking Mountain Dew, snowmobiling, and smoking cigarettes. Musical interests included classic rock. One of his first albums was Styx's Grand Illusion.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, where friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home in Richwood, burial will be in the Byhalia Cemetery, Pastor Jeff Waeger will officiate
