Evelyn June Grose
Evelyn June Grose, 80, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at her home in Richwood, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 1, 1938 to Delmar and Pauline (Fawley) Eastman. Evelyn graduated from Byhalia York High School. She married Howard Grose (who survives) on September 23, 1956, at McKendree Church, where she was a member.
She faithfully supported her husband as manager and bookkeeper for their family farming and painting businesses, for more than 54 years. She most loved playing games with her family, some of her favorites being Chinese checkers, bid euchre and croquet.
Evelyn was the mother to 6 children: Melanie(Stan) Price, Richwood; Michelle (George) Strickland, Willow Spring, NC; Marcy Elliott, Richwood; Melita (Larry) Becker, Lebanon; Michael (deceased) (Tara) Grose, Richwood; Mark Grose, Richwood.
She was the grandmother of 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, with the 17th due in November.
Family and friends may call on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 3 to 7 PM, at the Stofcheck-Ballinger funeral home, Richwood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM, at the Richwood Church of Christ, with Pastor Danny Grose officiating. Graveside services will follow at York Cemetery.
