Richard L. Schultz


Richard L. Schultz, 91 of Radnor, died Friday morning March 26, 2021 at the Ohio State Medical Center.

He was born September 12, 1929 in Columbus to the late George and Helen (Taylor) Schultz. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Betty Pierce, Junior, Donald, Gerald and Ronald Schultz and in-laws: Joe Nunez, Claude Pierce, Bonnie Schultz and Barb Schultz.

Dick was a 1947 graduate of the Waldo High School. He then served our country in the United State Army during Korea. He had worked at the Whirlpool Corp for over 25 yrs. But Dick was a true farmer at his core, it was his passion.

He was a longtime dedicated member of the Richwood Church of Christ, where he served the church for over 40 years as an Elder.

Dick enjoyed playing euchre with he and Barb’s many friends. He could be often found listening to a Cleveland Indians game or watching the Buckeyes.

When his kids or grandkids had events, he was almost always there, supporting his family.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara A. (Neel) Schultz, they were married December 6, 1953 at the old Richwood Church of Christ. Also surviving are their children: Connie (Ty) Davis of Richwood, Greg (Debbie) Schultz of Richwood, Doug (Carol) Schultz of Prospect, Kent (Glenna) Schultz of Delaware and Kevin (Lynn) Schultz of Marion.
Grandchildren: Tara (Randall) Riffle, Travis (Mandy) Davis, Tyler Davis, Caleb (Annie) Schultz, Jerica Holycross, Ethan Schultz, Ashley Schultz, Adam Schutz, Allyssa (Adam) Stewart, Nikki (Roy) Raj, Tanner (Kelly) Steck, Corey (Candy) Gamble and Wendi (Rich) Snyder

Funeral Services will be held Friday April 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Richwood Church of Christ, Jeff Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in the Shoup (Thompson Twp.) Cemetery, where there will be Military Honors conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America #1095 and the United States Army. Friends may call Thursday from 3-7 pm at the Richwood Church of Christ.
