Ruth Ann Smith
Ruth Ann Smith, 74 of Marion, died Friday, April 16, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born December 30, 1946 in Galion to the late Donald and Norma (Kaiser) Wirick. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Fry.
On January 15, 1999 she married Criss A. Smith in Prospect and he survives. Also surviving are a son, Rusty (Amanda) Boyd, Prospect; two daughters, Candy (Dave) Jackson, Galion and Jennifer (Corey) Hopkins, Prospect
nine grandchildren, Kylie (Ryan) Eckard, Devin (Kyra) Boyd, Alexis (Kyler Keene) Boyd, Ryan (Desiree) Levering, Nate (Rachel) Levering, David (Melissa) Jackson, Kyle (Lacy) Jackson, C. J. (Alana Puckett) Hopkins and Margaret (Brandon Brown) Hopkins
seven great-grandchildren, Jordynn Boyd, Phoenix Levering, Gabriel Boyd, Matthew Jackson, Carter Jackson, Mackenzie Jackson and Kyle Jackson
one sister, Dee DeWalt, Galion.
Ruth enjoyed being with people and had worked at the IGA store in Prospect as well as different places in the area. She loved tending the flowers in her garden. She was a great cook, biscuits and gravy being one of her specialties. The most important thing to Ruth was her family, she cherished the time she could spend with them.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Waldo Cemetery, Ryan Levering will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home Funeral Home in Prospect.
