Kevin Earl Oldham
Kevin Earl Oldham, 59 of New Bloomington, died unexpectedly February 7, 2022 at his home.
Kevin was born in Marion to Lila Harriman & James Russell Oldham the 3rd son of a family of six children, the baby of the family. He grew up on a farm near LaRue and loved the farm and all of his close neighbors and friends. He was involved in 4H and the Elgin FFA. He graduated from Elgin in 1980. Farming was more than a job, it was his way of life. He worked hard and enjoyed his family.
He liked snowmobiling and go carts in his younger years. His latest passion was his International pulling Semi truck . He enjoyed the camaraderie with his fellow pullers. Kevin always had livestock, pigs, cows and also goats at one time. They all had names, he took good care of them.
Family was his 1st priority, he liked to provide for them in large and small ways, always thinking of others.
He worked as a farmer and also drove Semi trucks over the road in his younger years. Contract work with Trillium farms and DeVries Dairy. He had an Honorary Chapter Degree from The Elgin FFA.
Kevin enjoyed going to many Amish Bakeries to get baked goods and also conduct business with assorted Amish farmers.
On February 20, 1982 at the Green United Methodist Church he married Rebecca Lynn (Johnson) and she survives.
Also surviving are their children: Kristen Oldham, Marion; Kaley (Corey Hemmerich) Oldham, Eaton and Evan Jay Oldham at home. Special Granddaughter Myka
Siblings: Lynn (Jan) Oldham, Richwood; Elaine (Brad) Smith, Marion; Marna Winslow, Kenton; Lisa Schwaderer, La Rue and sister in law Terri Oldham, La Rue.
and his dog, Pokey
Preceded in death by parents and brother Clairen Oldham, and in-laws; Richard and Linda Johnson.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Private burial will take place in the Green Camp Cemetery.
