Harold Lusk


Harold Lusk, 80 of West Mansfield, died April 1, 2022 at Memorial Gables.

He was born September 17, 1941 in Newark to the late Jack and Stella (Sawyers) Lusk. He was also preceded in death by a son, Matthew David Lusk and a brother, Fred “Butch” Lusk.

On June 17, 1962, he married the former Mary Milner and she survives.

He was a lifelong farmer and member of the York Center United Methodist Church. Harold loved his animals and enjoyed working with them, whether it was showing dairy cows or Belgian Horses and Halflingers or buying and selling livestock. He was a lifetime member of the National Holstein Association, was a board member of the Ohio Holstein Association, member of the Dairy Shriners Club, National Draft Horse Association, Ohio Halflinger Association, and was past president of the Hardin County Dairy Association. He earned Hardin Young Farmer of the Year in 1972. Harold also enjoyed playing the organ and collecting antique tractors. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Alan (Kim Clark) Lusk, Lakeview; Mark (Connie) Lusk, West Mansfield; a daughter, Lynn (Gary) Levelius, Mansfield; a brother, James (Jeannie) Lusk, Thornville; three grandchildren, Beau Lusk, Emma Lusk, and Christopher French; a great-grandson, Dravin French; a special family friend, Nathan Hampton; his special caregivers, Jennifer Loudermilk, Rita Ford, and Micaela Schilling, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor April Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Byhalia Cemetery.
