James A. “Jim” Gray


James A. “Jim” Gray, 66 of Richwood, died Monday June 20, 2022 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, from injuries sustained in an auto/farm accident near Richwood.

He was born March 28, 1956 in Marysville to the late Richard “Dick” and Emma Lynn (Boaz) Gray.

Jim was a 1974 graduate of the North Union High School. He was a lifelong 3rd generation farmer. Jim was very proud of his family history on the farm and was excited that it was going on to the next generation. He was a lifelong dedicated, active member of the Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church, he cherished his church family.
Jim loved his entire family, they gave him such joy. He especially dedicated much of his energy to his grandkids, whether it was singing and playing his guitar with them, to not missing any of their activities, to just being together. His family was his life!
Jim was also a big proponent of tissue and organ donation, he was able to help this cause in the end.

On February 15, 1981 at the Richwood Baptist Church, he married Judy (Cooperider) and she survives. Also surviving are their children, Betsy (Tony) Baer of Richwood, Casey (Lucas) Daum of Richwood and Michael (Natalie) Gray of Chagrin Falls.
Grandchildren: Sam and Levi Baer, Cora, Micah and Henry Daum, Harrison and Serour Gray
Brothers: John David (Linda) Gray of Radcliff, Ky., Stuart A. (Christy) Gray of Richwood and Thomas Richard (Kim) Gray of Powell

Funeral services will be held Monday June 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Richwood Church of Christ, Pastor Judy Cramer will officiate, burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 pm at the church.
