Pamela Joan Schultz


Pamela Joan Schultz, 63 of New Bloomington, died unexpectedly Monday, September 12, 2022 at home.

She was born September 6, 1959 in Marion to the late Donald and Dorothy (Craig) Fryman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rick.

On April 26, 1986 she married Steve Schultz in Richwood and he survives.

She had worked as a switchboard operator for Marion General Hospital for 7 years. Before that she had worked as a teacher’s aide to the special-needs children for Elgin Local Schools. Pam had been a foster mother to numerous children throughout the years. She was a devoted mother whose children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed raising and showing cats, the hairless Sphynx being her favorite.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Justin Belt, Prospect; a daughter, Amanda Schultz, Marion; stepsons, Cory Schultz, Richwood; Jason Schultz Pickerington; a brother, Dan Fryman, Columbus; twelve grandchildren, including three that she raised, Jazmyne Schultz, New Bloomington; Max Schultz, Marion; Alexandra Simmons, Marion; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, LaRue is assisting the family with arrangements.
