Ronald G. Cochran


Ronald G. Cochran, 72 of rural Prospect, died Thursday evening September 15, 2022 at the Marion General Hospital.

He was born May 9, 1950 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Pearl (Bingham) Cochran. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Lester) Cochran, they were married August 21, 1969 and she died May 10, 2020. They were able to celebrate over 50 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by siblings, Wanda Russell, Linda Lines and Jerry Lee Cochran.

Ronald was retired from the Marion Power Shovel where he had worked as a welder for more than 25 years.
He was a member of the Stoney Ridge United Baptist Church in Carey.
Ronald had a passion for fishing, he loved to go whenever he could. He also enjoyed working on cars with his grandkids, watching old westerns and going to all of the family events.
It could also be said that he had quite a talent for telling stories about his family history.

Surviving are his daughters, Amy (Tim) McCall of Etna, Teresa Haynes of Marion and Sarah (Jon) Garlock of Westerville
Grandchildren, Noah Haynes, Devon Farris, Avery and Jayce Garlock, Brenden and Mallory McCall
Siblings, Jeffery Cochran of Mansfield and Rhonda (Rodney) Jackson of Tyler, Texas

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, A J Williamson will officiate, burial will follow in the Price Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.
