Travis Wayne Hellinger
Travis Wayne Hellinger, 38 of LaRue, died Tuesday morning December 20, 2022 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born December 1, 1984 in Mt. Gilead to parents, Randal Wayne Hellinger of Florida and Kim Lorraine Speck of LaRue, they both survive.
Travis was a 2003 graduate of the Elgin High School. He was the type of person who didn’t know a stranger and loved his family, especially his momma, with his whole heart. He had the unique ability to see the good in everyone, always willing to give second and sometimes third chances to the ones he cared for. He absolutely had a wild, free spirit. He was giving and kind. He cherished the friendships with his friends in the motorcycle club, (he loved being on his bike). Music was very important to Travis, he enjoyed listening to all types of music.
He also had a serious side, he thought deeply and loved his god.
He will be deeply missed by many friends, loved ones and extended family.
Surviving along with his parents are a newborn daughter, Oakleigh Nichole Grace Hellinger, brother, Mark "Muggs" Speck of Florida and special cousin (who he thought of as his brother) Adam Sherwood of LaRue and his wife Alisha Renee Hellinger, even though they were not together, they still cared for one another.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Tuesday December 27, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue, followed by a short time of sharing.
