Floyd A. Madison


Floyd A. Madison, 73 of LaRue, died Monday December 26, 2022 at his home.

He was born August 22,1949 in Kenton to the late Floyd Q. and Nova Katherine (Johnson) Madison.

Floyd worked at the Whirlpool Corporation in Marion for over 40 years until he retired. He served in the US Army as well as Vietnam. Floyd was a member of the VFW Post # 7201 in Marion.

Floyd coached youth baseball and enjoyed watching all 3 of his children in any sports or activities they were involved in. Floyd enjoyed working in his garden or anything that had to do with him being outdoors. He was an avid golfer, playing in the Whirlpool league and a league in Kenton with friends. He enjoyed golfing the most with his cousin Ronnie Johnson who was more like a brother to him, his good buddy Steve Fox, and his “adopted son” Ben Jeffers. Floyd supported music and provided the “Barn” where everyone could hang out, practice and play pool. Floyd has a Motor Cross Track on his land and enjoyed spending time with everyone who came out to ride. He would spend hours just sitting out there talking with everyone.

Floyd enjoyed spending time with family and was always there to support whoever needed him. He knew no stranger. Floyd will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Surviving are his children, Todd (Lori) Madison of Bucyrus, Shane Madison of Lexington and Mikala (Will) Pierce of Marion.
Grandchildren, Tricia Wolf, Breauna Madison, Ethan (Hannah) Madison, Hayden Madison, Braylon Pierce and Zach Pierce.
Great grandchildren – Chloe, Bella, Jarvin, Quinton and Kasen
Siblings, Linda Kritzler of Fort Meyers, Florida, Beverly (Jim) Anderson of LaRue, Brenda (Gene) Rainsburg of Kenton, Don (Pat) Madison of Mt. Victory and Jeff (Deb) Madison of Kenton.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday January 4, 2023 at 7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue, Pastor Josh Hause will officiate. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 5 pm at the funeral home in LaRue. Private burial with Military Honors provided by the Vietnam Veterans of America #1095, will be held in the Otterbein Cemetery near Mount Victory.
